Plus…it was because of my fear of the bear that I ran faster…remember my “ark” post? Ok….we weren’t on the Ark, but I was afriad he would come out on the trail and get me…does that work?

A 17 minute PR is a great accomplishment! I do understand having a disappointing race (my 1st (and only) marathon was disappointing, nothing terrible, just not what I’d wanted).

And what a great friend Kim is!

Awesome job girl and congrats on your new PR! Like someone told me a few weeks ago, anytime you can PR it is a good race and you have nothing to be disappointed about. Ahhh the fade, good old mile 17 was your number. If we could all only figure that one out but that’s the mystery behind the marathon. So many what if’’s. Your story sounds like every marathon I have done or read about. I’ll probably be telling a similar one after Saturday. Just hope I can run as strong as you did.

Eek! I can’t believe we are leaving tomorrow! I only have a slight idea what I will wear…probably a running skirt, long sleeve top, and vest..plus all the usual accessories. Usually if I have my gaitre and gloves, they keep me warmer than an extra layer would! I’m sure I will be asking you about stuff to bring…..don’t forget batteries for your camera!

PS Glad tohear th carrot cake went over so well..I love that stuff…I think I might want to marry it..hehe..
