Now I’m sick…

I must be jinxed….I worked my ass off for 8 days straight, got home Tuesday night, exhausted, got up Wednesday morning to run with Kim, still tired.  It was very slow going for me, I was really struggling, I thought it was probably because I was still tired and I had not run as much as I normally do or it was because I had been running inside on a treadmill, whatever, I was not with it on Wednesday, when we were about 3 miles in, it felt like we had been running forever!  Maybe the sunlight was fooling me too, it’s usually dark when we run so the sunlight was confusing.

As the day wore on the worse I felt, by noon my throat was scratchy and I had a headache, then I started feeling achy and cold.  It just got worse, by 5pm I was done, curled up with a blanket on the couch, no Fitness Boot Camp for me.  I fell asleep on the couch more than once, but didn’t have the energy to get up and get in the bed.  I finally drug my butt into the shower and got into bed around 10pm.

When I got up this morning it was worse, throat hurts, head hurts, achy.  But, I wanted to take Friday off, so I went to work, in my jammies.  I drank some coffee which made my throat feel better, but still yucky all day. I’m feeling just tired now and I’m ready for the couch again, I wanted to clean up the house some, but really have no energy.  Supposed to run with Kim and Tammy in the morning, that may or may not happen, depends on  how I’m feeling.

Am I jinxed?  Can I get a small break?  please?  I just want one good week where nothing goes wrong and I can get back on track with my life and this house without something falling apart, including myself.

  1. I feel jinxed too….once my it band gets better, my left knee starts bothering me…not sure if I should run tomorrow either….Maybe if I rest my leg, I can run sat??

  2. I feel exactly the same way. Just a week, where there is no drama when I can get it all in…
